Northeast Texas Publishing acquires two newspapers, printing plant operation

Northeast Texas Publishing LP acquired the Mount Pleasant Tribune and The Light and Champion in Center in early August.
The group is part of Moser Community Media, LLC.
As part of the transaction, Mark Henry is now editor and publisher of the Tribune and a partner in the group. 
Henry is a Texas community newspaper veteran who began his career at his hometown newspaper, The Huntsville Item, in 1980. He has served and published small dailies, semi-weeklies and weekly papers around Texas his entire career. 
Steve Fountain, publisher of The Light and Champion, said the team there will remain in place. “This move also makes Center the printing press hub for Northeast Texas Publishing,” Fountain said.
An additional range of advertising services will be available to both newspapers, including access to Tejas Digital Services to serve customers’ online and digital needs.
As a partner in Northeast Texas Publishing LP, Henry will also oversee operations for the other newspapers in the group, including The Pittsburg Gazette, Steel Country Bee, Atlanta Citizens Journal, Cass County Sun and Bowie County Citizens Tribune, as well as NETX Crossroads magazine.
