The Golden 50 Award honors men and women who have displayed exemplary service and selfless contributions to journalism for 50 or more years.
Recipients will be honored in a ceremony at the June 18 luncheon during the 131st annual Texas Press Association Summer Convention in San Antonio.
Recipients' newspaper careers are told in a special booklet distributed during the ceremony.
TPA initiated and first presented the Golden 50 Award in 1963. In the early years of the award, a certificate was presented to each honoree. Today, recipients receive both a plaque and the special Golden 50 booklet. |
