The privately owned Temple TX Daily Telegram, located in one of the 20 fastest growing cities in the country, seeks an experienced journalist to help lead our reporting staff as City Editor. This position will report directly to the Assistant Managing Editor and will be responsible for the following:
 Assign news stories to reporters.
 Edit news stories prior to publication.
 Coach and develop content producers.
 Produce content for print and online.
 Assist in the content budgeting process.
 Pagination using InDesign.

The Kerrville (TX) Daily Times is searching for a reporter candidate looking to gain experience and hone their interviewing and writing skills in a small-town, community journalism environment.
Reporters contribute to our newspaper's print products, social media and overall web presence and participate in conversations to increase our reach.

The award-winning Fort Bend Herald is seeking a full-time general assignments reporter. The Herald is located in Rosenberg, Texas, 20 minutes from Houston. The Herald has won numerous awards at journalism contests nationwide, including two first-place awards in the National Newspaper Association Better Newspaper Contest. What does that mean? It means Herald reporters have plenty of source material for award-winning stories that will help catapult their careers to higher-paying jobs at more prestigious newspapers.

Wharton County Newspapers has an immediate opening for full-time news reporters.

The ideal candidate is writer who can contribute dynamic feature stories in addition to covering straight news. Photographic and social media skills are a big plus. Knowledge of InDesign software and Photoshop is helpful, but can be taught.

Our next reporter must be a team player and enjoy collaborative efforts as well as be able to work independently. The ability to meet deadlines is a must.

Wharton County Newspapers is located in Wharton County on U.S. 59 between Houston and Victoria.
